RICK BAHLIGNER

Rick hails from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from LSU. He married his childhood sweetheart, Andi, shortly before graduating.
The Budweiser folks decided they should move to Tulsa, OK with Rick as General Manager of the local beer distributorship. Being the “Beer Baron of Tulsa” would provide great experience for future business endeavors.
Upon leaving Anheuser-Busch, and after, or perhaps because of, some less-than-successful business attempts, Rick and his wife started an alcohol permit processing business. They and their adult son grew the business while Rick went
to work as a Sales Manager for a fourth-generation family-owned tobacco and candy distributor in nearby Sapulpa, OK.
The family took root in Tulsa. Runners joined and Rick volunteered for several area Chambers of Commerce, charity and business boards. Andi, meanwhile, took care of the family and volunteered at church and several schools while getting
their small business off the ground. Their son still runs the family business with a little help from Rick who retired a few years ago from the tobacco & candy business.
Rick has been a ham radio operator and mediocre guitar picker most of his life. Rick and Andi have two children, and two granddaughters; one each in Tulsa and Springfield, MO. Mother Nature Hates To Lose is Rick’s first book.
